Course Modules Include:

How the neuromuscular system actually drives athletic performance

Coaches will be able to explain how the neuromuscular system produces, modulates, and recovers force — and connect those mechanisms directly to the training decisions that develop speed, power, and injury resilience in athletes.

Energy system design specific to your sport's demands

Coaches will be able to identify the dominant energy systems of their sport, design training prescriptions that develop each system appropriately, and structure work-to-rest ratios that develop energy capacity without compromising technical quality.

Deceleration, change of direction, and multidirectional speed

Coaches will be able to explain the biomechanical and physiological demands of deceleration and change of direction, assess their athletes' force absorption capacity, and design progressive training prescriptions that develop multidirectional movement efficiency and reduce injury risk.

Foundations of Speed, Strength and Conditioning is a 40-hour sports science certification course grounding coaches in the universal physical laws that govern human movement, force production, and athletic development across every sport and every level of competition. Drawing from kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor learning, and strength and conditioning research, the course equips coaches with a rigorous scientific language and a transferable programming framework they can apply immediately. By the end of the course, coaches will be able to assess their athletes with precision, design evidence-based training programs, and make periodized decisions that systematically develop physical capacity and translate into genuine sport performance.

Built for people who think in their coaching

Built on real S&C science. Shaped around your sport.

The core curriculum is grounded in NSCA-aligned sports science — the same framework whether you coach football, basketball, or soccer. What changes is the application: AI-assisted delivery adapts each module's examples, drills, and scenarios to the sport you actually coach, so a defensive back's deceleration training reads differently than a power forward's. You get a course that teaches like it was built specifically for you — because in the parts that matter, it was.

This course is designed for sport coaches at all levels — from volunteer youth coaches and first-year high school assistants to experienced club and collegiate staff. It is built for the football coach who works with wide receivers, the basketball coach running practice, the soccer coach organizing preseason, and the baseball coach developing athletes in the off-season. These are coaches whose primary identity is their sport, not strength and conditioning, but who want to understand the movement and training principles that will make their athletes faster, stronger, and more durable. Many sport coaches — especially at the high school level — are responsible for multiple teams across multiple seasons and have never had access to a unified framework for athletic development. This course fills that gap. No prior strength and conditioning background or certification is required. Coaches with existing knowledge will find that the content deepens and organizes what they already know, while coaches brand new to training science will build a complete foundation from the ground up.
